Also known as The 'St. James Infirmary'. I learned this tune from Dave Van Ronk's version titled 'Gambler's Blues', though more versions exist under the St. James title. It's a traditional song done by many of the greats. My favorite renditions besides Dave Van Ronk's are by Leadbelly, Cab Calloway, James Booker, and Snooks Eaglin. The true author is unknown.
